on the days that prove to be exhausting, my patience worn thin

it really does help to pull out a 50mm

and marvel at their beauty

take a peek at what their future's hold

as they grow from children into women

the softness, kindness, warmth that flows from them to whomever they meet

they are the marvel

 

 

on june 6th i had the opportunity of shooting my very first wedding. so grateful am i to jennie and mike for letting me use them as guinea pigs!

whenever i look into her eyes i see myself. they are deep, dark, pools of reflection shining back an image of whatever she gazes upon. beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

i've always wanted to capture this beautiful thing about her, but have never been able to. my camera never caught the light just right, the flash overwhelmed her eyes; i couldn't even capture it through pen or paint. but now... with a new camera and a new lens, i can finally show this beauty all on it's own. no tricky photo shop. just a happy baby with magic eyes.

i like her.

i love them all like family, i've watched the kids grow up and mature, and i've watched the mothers blossom before my eyes. i LOVE these women. it was so nice to capture the beauty, fun, and strength that i see in all of them.
