we are...

mama love I

e:

I Am

I am loud and cute
I wonder about what the scriptures say sometimes
I hear "i love you"
I see one of mama's paintings
I want to be a good artist
I am loud and cute

I pretend to be a spy
I feel love
I touch a teddy bear
I worry about my ex-auntie
I cry when i have pain
I am loud and cute

I understand my mama
I say i believe in angels
I dream about finding something lost
I try to choose the right
I hope to see God
I am loud and cute

f:

I Am

I am goofy and smart
I wonder about healthy food
I hear the waves when i close my ears
I see an apple
I want five cookies
I am goofy and smart

I pretend to be a ninja
I feel happy
I touch cars
I worry about being lonely
I cry over silly spankin's
I am goofy and smart

I understand jesus
I say santa claus!
I dream about food
I try to clean
I hope for a brother
I am goofy and smart

G:

I Am

I am creative and cute
I wonder about how to be a mama
I hear the sound of the "puter"
I see colors in the outside trees
I want a pretty drum
I am creative and cute

I pretend that i'm a mom
I feel my heart
I touch my sister's ring
I worry about knife throwers
I cry when my little sister bites me
I am creative and cute

I understand how to cook
I say i believe in my sister
I dream about my sister and me trying to escape from a monster that was trying to eat us
I try to make
I hope for a toy cat
I am creative and cute

h:

I Am

I am a baby
I wonder about kitties
I hear a dog
I see a kitty
I want a kitty
I am a baby

I pretend to be a princess
I feel happy
I touch the screen
I worry about monsters
I cry about scary dreams
I am a baby

I understand how to kiss
I say blankies
I dream about my blanky outside
I try to be big
I hope for a kitty
I am a baby

mama love II

all poems written entirely by each child, write one of your own here. and be prepared, kids aren't afraid to get vulnerable and say both adorable and astonishing things. simply beautiful, just as they are.

Your kids are so, so dang cute and smart. (And you... there you are, sitting all lovely and adorable in the center of it all...) Zoe writes things that amaze me all the time. And Jachin's drawings are hysterical. Kids are just awesome that way.

I must tell you that the leg warmers/panty-sticking-out combo made me snort out loud. Jeez, your kids are frickin cute.
