December 8, 2010 at 5:34 PM i'm not a santa fan. this is no surprise to anyone is it? i think the whole thing is rather creepy. however, this year, all my kids have decided that they believe.
THEY BELIEVE IN SANTA!!!
so rather than fight it with logic and statistics, we're embracing it.
before we got the tree out E was jones'in to decorate something, anything. so a vacuum cleaner sufficed. then she dressed up as mrs. claus and took gift requests for santa.
surprisingly, and to my chagrin, it was a trip to visit santa that actually got me in the christmas spirit. he was such a sweet guy and made it so fun for them. when it was time for the next child to greet him he opened up his arms widely and they RAN to him. it was... adorable. then we ate scones with honeybutter, and it suddenly felt like christmas.

Great pics! And that Santa is very cute...where did you see him? And I LOVE the vacuum tree..especially since there are stuffed animals and scissors tied to it! perfect!
OK Scrooge. :P I'm glad you're feeling Christmas. This is the first year in a while that I've been really into the whole Christmas thing. We're having a blast, too. Did you leave the vacuum tree intact? It would have been hard to tear that one down!
Your camera takes AMAZING pics and I LOVE the dressed up vaccuum! Love it!
I know! Right??!!
Santa is rad.
I have a book recommendation:
The Christmas Chronicles.
i love the tree and think it's fabulous after all these years they are a believer. so cute.
