kirsten is very simply:
a full~time momma,
part~time photographer,
occasional blogger,
photo collaborator,
and newbie etsy owner
but really, she's so much more than even these big things. she was the first friend i met online that perpetuated into a fully fledged kinship. she was the reason that i jumped into squam last year. she was the best roommate anyone could ever ask for, bringing everything (including an electric tea kettle) to make our time in the woods a magical one. she is thoughtful and kind. intuitive and insightful. despite our relationship spanning over national borders, she's always been willing and able to make the distance seem tiny.
and she sees the world in the most amazing ways:
basically our friendship could be summed up by this video, even up to the little cabin in the woods. and ironically by squam she may be a redhead and i'll be a brunette. ;-D

Right this moment my little piece of loveliness is the 18-pound grey cat snuggled up against my leg.

but currently? tomorrow...i get to photograph an 85 year old couple who are renewing their wedding vows! it is the bride's birthday. and for her birthday, she said all she wanted was to renew her vows with her beloved.
and i was asked to capture all of that goodness.

Lovely right now...morning tea in a bathrobe on the porch. The fact that there is a slight chill in the air, warranting the need for a cozy robe in the morning on the porch. Morning light is lovely.

loveliness in my life ... i'm loving to watch my little one, now 16(!!), blossoming into an independent soul, having bravely left home to study. and of course these wonderful, sunny autumnal days :)
today the loveliness is the screen sitting around me. not quite the prints i was going for but i know i am on my way.

Something lovely in my life right now? Well, I would have to say that it is starting to notice the leaves slowly changing. I'm seeing bits of red and orange in places, and this makes me happy and excited for fall.

Lovely memories of a summer trip to Italy--sensory overload; the history, the food, the wine, the smells and colors and that beautiful language all around me, and my little boy holding my hand through it all. I hope he always remembers. . . .
