what's your tradition?

would you be willing to break it?
we usually celebrate valentine's in the days after the actual holiday. i see it as the clean up crew of all things consumer. those flowers that are now ridiculously marked down, they're just going to be thrown away! and i really don't need an excuse to buy chocolate. how does valentine's sit with you?

videos never post to my blog!!! so go here and PLEASE watch.

Valentines day is one of my favorite holidays, not because of the flowers or the candy or the date out to dinner but because it is a day about love. I mean, what could be better than a whole day devoted to being in love and telling those that matter to you that you love them.

so yeah, get rid of the flowers and teh chocolate and go out and tell those people you are important that you love them :)

yup, i think it's about giving. we love to make a goodie plate and take it around to our cousins. or send valentine's to grandmas and grandpas or other relatives that might be alone that day.

We don't really do Valentine's day...not like some people do, anyway. I have the kids make their daddy cards, and Adam and I *might* have a special candlelight dessert at home, or just talk. Or ignore the holiday altogether, because I will NOT allow him to spend that much money on chocolate and flowers. And besides, it means more to me to get flowers on some random day than when they're socially "required".

School is kinda making me mad because the kids *have* to make a Valentine's box and get Valentines- I'd make Alex create them, but to make 17 Valentines...we just don't have time. And maybe I'm not organized enough, lol.

I liked the link. Very nice.
