today i am grateful for:
- christmas wish lists from a 6 year old that include A cookie and pie. i can do that!
- this convo: "mama, who is the princess of your house???!?" screamed on the top of her lungs. "i don't know little girl, who IS the princess of my house?" she replies, "that's me, mama. i am the princess of your house. remember?"
- the windows of heaven being opened and raining down blessing upon blessing on this little family.
- finding an amazing chiropractor that delivers on her promises without taking my first born child as payment
- clean laundry
- finally getting excited about meal planning and cooking again (listen to the sound bite, you'll never regret it.)
- funky striped and polka dot socks to match the funky striped lounge sweater i wear.
- homemade fingerless gloves thanks to a mischevious *helpful* 4 year old
- girlie dinner parties where the giggles, food, and snowflakes reign.
- making this year a *mostly* handmade christmas, letting all the stress and worries go, not worrying about disappointing others... soaking up every moment to relish the season.
- watching the tree.
- watching my children watch the tree.
- no, watching the tree is not exciting, nothing moves or changes. but it's simply beautiful and twinkle lights are certain to calm a troubled heart.
- elf
- taking bags of cookies around to neighbors, unbuckling each kid, tromping up to the door, *merry christmas!* tromping back to the car, buckling each kid and driving a few more blocks to repeat the process.
- my amazing girlfriends who trust and love, share and laugh.
- the fog of fall lifting from my mind and giving way to energy of body and mind
- yoga, yoga, yoga, yoga, yoga, yoga, yoga, yoga, yoga, yoga, yoga, yoga, yoga, yoga, yoga, yoga, yoga, yoga, yoga, yoga, yoga, yoga, yoga, yoga, yoga, yoga, yoga, yoga... OM
- my children's room being completely clean
- bedtime hosted by daddy while mama catches up on the mindless nonessentials. thanks hun the bun!
- catching my kids singing beatles songs. or imogen heap. or christmas songs. or any song really, listening to them gain confidence in their voice is a great thing.
- realizing that i kept my new year's resolution/mantra: move forward. every step i've taken throughout the year i've kept that in mind...more on this soon.
what are YOU grateful for?

beautiful captures!
That first one...oh *gasp* it's yet another frameworthy photo. Beautiful.
All of these things are excellent things to be grateful for. I especially love hearing my children sing, too.
Jenica, what fabulous photos.
This year I am grateful for my husband, my mom, my uncle and aunt, my dad and our cats. Pretty easy list. :)
Happy Holidays!
