one lie... revealed
August 28, 2008 at 8:28 AM so now i'm feeling a little guilty. i'm afraid i've been somewhat misleading over the series of my blog. oh dear. my true lie is none other than:
7. shoe fetish.
i think i've got some 'splaining to do.
1. my body temp dropped after having my first baby and has been the same since. my mother's body temp runs at 96.4 and dropped after giving birth to me.
2. not one drop. i've also never smoked a cigarette, but oddly enough find myself craving a smoke when i'm feeling stressed and depressed.
3. even before i had children i had a deep love for dandelions. i love them in every state of their existence. my high school boyfriend brought me three dozen long stem dandelions on prom night... he'd gone up the canyon to find the perfect ones.
4. one pivotal movie: dirty dancing
5. yes, i am mormon. ps i like it and no i'm not a weirdo. ;-D
6. 27 times. but i'm feeling awful that i wrote earlier that i had moved 28 times. i had forgotten that i had ever even mentioned it before, but when i counted through the moves this time i realized that i had been mistaken the first time. i'm so sorry.
7. as i say in this post, i think that shoes are absurd. i would be happy with one pair of flipflops and one pair of athletic shoes, but because of church and winter i have several more pairs of heels and boots. shoes are necessary, some are even cute, but if i don't already own something that it goes with, there's no reason in my mind to buy it. do i like shoes, yes? do i have a fetish with a wall of shoes? no.
8. i AM a natural blonde. i need to dig up a pic from yester-year don't i?
as this is a scheduled post, i'll figure out the winners when i come back. if anyone actually selected the right answer the prize will go to them, if not i'll have to select from the group that guessed moving 27 times. i wish i'd caught that before i'd published!!!

Oh my gosh--I'm a wannabe smoker too! What is wrong with us? Love your blog! I'm glad you write consistently (and do it so well). It's always a pleasure to stop by. :)
But what you really mean to say is there were two lies, so I was right. (I hate to lose. I hate to ever be wrong. I do, however, love you.) ("Love" in a much-older sister way. (And recognizing that, if I'd started having kids as young as you did, I'm more than old enough to be your mother.) (Finally, P.S., I love reading your blog and I love that you read mine and you can always comment by sending an email. Or maybe your comment the other day is the one that propels me to reopen comments as a rule rather than as an exception.) (Sorry I stole this blog post by making such a long, boring comment.)
Oh, I adore shoes too. I'd rather have one shirt, one pair of jeans, and 20 pairs of shoes to go with them. Changing my shoes is as important to me as changing my undies!
