it's been quite awhile since i've done a meme and i haven't felt very bloggie this week. but kristi did invite me, and since i didn't even know that she knew i existed, haha, i figured i can't disappoint her now! not this soon in the relationship at least. hehe.
1. What were you doing 10 years ago? i was dating... a LOT, and working... TOO MUCH. i worked for a failing grocery store and i also worked in product fulfillment, which sounds far more exciting than it was. at the end of the summer i got a cushy job working at a chocolate store, and THAT was even better than it sounds. in my spare time i worked on cars (MG midget and a few italian cars). i also wrote to all of my friends, or boyfriends, that were on missions. there were 24 boys that i wrote simultaneously, three that i wrote weekly. the other 21 i split into groups and wrote them once every two months. i still like writing letters.
2. What are 5 things on your “To Do” list? do you mean today?
a) return a swimsuit from diviine modestee, not only can they not spell, they are also extremely poor business people.
b)figure out what i'm going to do about squam, do you wanna come?
c) plan dinner and gifties for father's day
d) go to a wedding reception, wear cute new summer dress, pray that it's not windy as said dress has a tendency to move and float with the wind... makes me feel cute and girly... but too much wind would lead to complete embarrassment. *rethinking and adding to list: wear bike shorts under dress.
e) find all of our church clothes and SHOES so that we're not stressing out on sunday... which invariably we still will be stressing and we'll probably be late... but at least we'll have shoes on.
3. What are 5 snacks you enjoy?
a) chocolate is considered a food group in my house...chocolate chip cookes are a must
b) cucumbers
d) almonds, cashews, or pistachios
e) cherries... i eat a 1/2 pound every day during the summer
4. Name some things you would do if you were a millionaire
i think it would kinda of depend if i was handed a million dollars or if we had worked diligently to earn and save that much money. honestly, i would like to travel... and not just for 2 week trips. i think that it would be a really amazing teaching opportunity to actually live as a family in foreign countries for about a year at a time, maybe longer.
secondly, we would start a native american mentoring program. we worked for one when we were first married and found it to be the most profound work we had each ever done. the program that we worked for had problems with funding and had to shut down. but it's definitely something we would want to do again.
5. Name some places where you’ve lived. i've moved to different parts of utah about 20 times (bountiful, salt lake city, orem, provo, mapleton, and blanding...repeated, well, repeatedly), alaska, oregon, nevada, and arizona.
6. Name some bad habits you have. i'm very easily overwhelmed by too much work, so first i procrastinate a job and then it gets so big i feel like i can't handle it... so i solve it all by doing NOTHING. i have a temper. i swear, a lot. i don't let loose and play as often as i should.
now i feel awful about myself. so i'm going to name some good habits i have: i'm generally a very nice person, out-going, make friends easily, i'm creative, i have nice eyes, i'm extremely intuitive about people, i fit nicely in a hammock.
there, i feel better again.
7. Name some jobs you’ve had. my first job was shrink-wrapping and product fulfillment, being a nanny to one child, grocery store clerk, then another warehouse job, retail: selling chocolate...yummmm, chocolate.... retail: selling white dresses, architectural and holiday lighting, nanny to seven children, receptionist and dispatch at a heating and a/c place, editor, wedding coordination, mentor and program coordinator, and hot mama.

yawn...oh, are you still there? am i the only one bored with my answers? i really want to do a seven truths and a lie meme, but i'm realizing that i would be much better at coming up with seven lies and ONE truth.

i have this meme in my queue and thought about doing it this week because like you, i haven't been feeling bloggy at all.
i would love to go to squam, but i'm scared (for many reasons) and i'm also not quite sure i could swing the 4 full days away, especially with blogHer. sigh.
