i've been needing some zip,
some zang,
some funk.
so i cut off 5 inches of my hair and went back to blonde. it is fun, no?
you can see how my everyday hair style had degenerated. it use to be this, but then it became this:
this shot was supposed to be my self portrait challenge for the week. but the challenge is on politics and i'm too chicken to say all that i want to say about this shot. suffice it to say: i love being a mother to 4 little ones. i love home education. i love natural childbirth. and none of these loves make me a nut. a bit nutty at times, but not put-me-in-an-institution-i-cant-possibly-make-my-own-choices type nutty. that's the beauty of living in a free country.
*sigh* i just love seeing them all lined up in birth order, all squealing in different directions. if only this shot had sound.

I do love that last pic! Once a few years ago we took a pic of what boys we had at the time and we could never get them all looking in the same way at the same time. The last pic that the frustrated photographer took had Zach and TJ looking at the camera (different smiles of course) and Sam in fits of laughter in the back..... that one was the unanimous keeper. :D
