and this is why i hate utah winters...

happy columbus day! autumn has now officially drawn to a close here in utah, taking us by surprise. i realize that this isn't THAT much snow, but believe me, it will continue until april.
so... if any of you are enjoying the beautiful leaves falling from trees, will you please save some for me?

ugh! you and kirsten have to live in the snowiest of places.

i've been sticking leaves under books for your christmas present, just like you asked. xo

Wow, I don't envy you!

I just ran out and took some photos for you of the trees around our house...I don't know if posting a direct link will work here (it's http://nittanymommy.blogspot.com/2008/10/little-bit-of-autumn-for-jenica.html if it does) If it doesn't work, they're on my blog through my profile here on blogger.

Is it just me or does the snow always fall on Sundays?

I agree, jenica. This weather just blows.

LOL!

I was just looking at another friends blog who lives in Utah, she had some lovely fall pictures... i was telling Chad, SEE! this is why Utah is so much better than Arizona!

I take it back... the winter sucks LOL!

I don't LOVE winter. It's okay and makes me more appreciative of the other seasons, and I do enjoy the peaceful, quiet snow every now and again.....but not this early in October, nor the amount of snow we got. I thought Utah would have gotten more than we did, but guess I was wrong. Check out our snow pics if you haven't already.

Meanwhile, Fall just started a week ago here... this weekend was the first time I have even felt a slight chill in the air since like February. Crazy!

I hear ya. Talk about disappointment when I looked out my window and saw 6 inches of snow! How did Bountiful get hit so hard. Monkey on the other hand was thrilled. All I could think about was missing the leaves back east and not being able to see the beautiful leaves on the alpine loop here. But at least it's supposed to be in the 70's this week. Although the snow has probably killed everything.

wow.
i guess i will be looking forward to your snowy pictures this winter (or rather this fall?) as it rarely snows here.

stay warm dear girl! (hope you have some fantastic boots for all that snow that will be falling all around you.)

That poor little Chevron Woody. (Yeah, I'd know those cards anywhere!)

eek!! all our leaves are officially gone and the bare branches and cloudy sky are a quiet reminder of what is to come but so far (knock on wood) we have escaped the white stuff ~ weather forecast said it was going to snow on the weekend but must have bypassed us and headed straight for you because we only got rain ~ though it is COLD today !!
