July 22, 2007 at 7:24 PM do you know what happens when the two responsible ones in a household decide to actually clean and organize for the day? imagine with me:
.: a cup of uncooked rice
.: 500 q-tips
.: a roll of tape
.: half a cup of pancake mix
.: plenty of pillows and clothes
.: bored children...
imagine all these things strewn out over 3 rooms of hardwood or tile. have you ever tried to sweep up pancake mix??? go ahead and dump even just 1/2 a cup on your floor and see how much fun it is!
so it's seems that we made about 2 steps forward on the organizing thing and about 3 steps back in parenting. ;-D
some couples go out and get matching tattoo's to show their un-dying love for one another. not the hubs and me. we have 4 kids in a 5 year period and get matching stress knots; left shoulder, above the shoulder blade. i can barely move my neck today.
so an update on the list? i haven't washed the curtains or dusted, the bananas are past their point and went to compost instead, upstairs bedroom CLEANED! (with only one night of back pain) and i did the dishes. the rest fell by the way-side. but we're still quilting on thursday... wanna come?
i've finally been having some really good contractions. it's just nice to know that whenever she's ready, we're all set to go! my hypnobirthing cd is always with me to help keep my body relaxed and my mind centered and peaceful.

You should try pancake mix on carpeting (my kids were making oancake mix angels), so I know exactly where you are coming from.
Sometimes when I read your blog, its like someone else writing about MY life.... Mister and I procreated on much the same schedule you and your hubs are on, and our kids sound equally energetic.
Here's hoping those really good contractions got you a little something this weekend. :D
