today is G's second birthday! it's hard to believe that it's only been two years... and yet i can't imagine life without her. she's a complete contradiction as a child. i've said it before, but she is the princess in the mud, the sword-weilding ballerina, the unpredictable wild card child. she often will act like she wants a kiss, wait for you to lean in, and then smack you right across the face. she once stuffed her onesie so full of sand she couldn't even stand up. she growls at babies. she gets messy just so that she can get cleaned up.
about a month ago G was on one. the hubs was eating crackers and cheese and the kids were vieing for their own pieces. f made a move to G to show that he was first in line; so she promptly turned and pushed him as hard as she could. he fell over crying and screaming so hard that i thought that the hubs had done it for some unknown reason. i couldn't stop laughing though when the truth came out, his little sister had pushed him flat onto his can.
then, about an hour later e screamed out that there was a spider crawling near her. g scooted right over to it and squished it with her bare hands to save her big sister.
g was also getting into everything she could. she stabbed f with a pair of tweezers right in the butt. his clothes had 2 tiny little prick marks in them.
at one point i tried to chastise her for her misdeeds. i told her, "no, no, if you keep doing that i'm going to have to put you in time out!" she replied, screaming," NO, NO mama! NO! NO! BAA!" and she raised her hand like she was going to spank me. she is afraid of no one.
she also hit e with toy killer whale...just because. and that was just one evening of G's shinanigans. watch out for those third children... they are fiesty!
she was my only difficult pregnancy with three weeks of bed rest. then she had jaundice. i remember crying as i laid next to her while she did her time in the billy box for 36 hours. she's allergic to everything it seems and is quite often sick. she of course had the nerve to react to immunizations even. but she has an unconquerable spirit. can you even imagine how much trouble she could get into if she felt perfectly well all the time?
she scooted on her bum instead of crawling. she walked late, but when she did start to walk she literally stood up and walked across the room, turned and walked back. there is no half way with her.
