cold war spy

SPC What I Wear #1
I wear.. Perfume
i'm terribly disappointed with my submission for this week.

1) i apparently pick the most unknown costumes ever. i was going for bond girl, cold war spy, 60's chick... can't you tell? meh.
2) as i took pictures for this weeks challenge i realize that i hide my body in all of the pictures. when i take a full body picture i can't say that i like it. i'm lumpy in all the wrong places! so i think this challenge is going to be a lot harder for me than i expected. this is the whole point of the self portrait challenge for me, to become more comfortable and discover the woman that i really am. i guess i'm just going to have to find peace with it.

halloween: i think i'm boycotting next year, seriously! i was exhausted by 7 pm and we hadn't even gone trick or treating by then. the kids were cranky all morning, making mama cranky too. it didn't help that i hadn't gotten to sleep until 3:30am the morning before. stoopid me!

my girlie girls. f was busy pouting and wouldn't get in the pic. like i said we were all a little cranky. e was a fairy princess, f was a pirate, g was a china doll (she LOVES eyeliner!), and h was pebbles.
my little pebbles!
note: THE wandwe went to a party at my birth center and they had free pictures taken. h had thrown up all over the carrier, but, well, i hadn't noticed. so sue me. i just love how f wouldn't look at the camera, he's so gentle.
in the words of my secret art affair friend, nicole, *Nothing on Earth is so beautiful as the final haul on Halloween night.*
g's biggest concern while we were trick or treating was that i was trying to steal her candy when i would try to hold her hand. the stinker. i think she enjoyed the holiday the very most.

maybe i'm just grumpy... last saturday we went to Boo at the Zoo, basically just trick or treating, while looking at the animals. it was a mad house. i hated it. we waited in line for 20 minutes just to get in. each line for candy extended back so far that people weren't even sure what they were in line for. e dropped her fairy wand (the wand noted above) into the gorilla pen as we were leaving. f lost one of his pirate necklaces. they both cried the whole way home. try to be positive, jenica! it was nice to see our friends. we got married three weeks apart from one another and now we each have four monkeys of our own. it was also nice at the zoo because the animals were really active. there! i was positive about something.
on friday we had a pumpkin carving contest. i always get so excited because mine turn out so well and i'm just SURE that i'm going to win. but again, i get too complicated and nobody *gets* my entry. these are mine. my mermaid:
my pirate skull:am i the only one that can see them??? i didn't think so. tell that to the judges!

yeah, one year i made britton a costume...it was max from the book where the wild things are...no one had a clue who he was...so i totally understand the feeling that nobody gets you...

I see two pirate skulls--on in the pumpkin and one in the throw up on the baby carrier. :)

Your pumpkins are awesome!

My monkeys cried that they didn't want to be ghosts, then spent the entire time happily flying about and scaring people... jeez, I tell ya.

At least I can make sure all their Milky Ways are "safe"......
"Aww, this one looks like it was tampered with guys...."
'Mommy, why is all the bad candy chocolate?'

Ummmm.....

I see the pictures in the pumpkins! And you looked fabulous! What a hottie 60's chick you are!

I didn't even dress up... Georgia is in some serious need of new clothes... clothes that fit her new, larger chubbier frame without squishing her exra-ness into weird places. UGH.

We love, love, love 007 around here. (Eldest ain't too fond of the Bond girls, 'cause he is only 11.) But I'm a Bond girl fan, too. Great photos. Love the SPC!
