October 18, 2007 at 11:11 PM i've always wanted to paint. i have asked for paints for my birthday, christmas, etc. but no one, including myself, has actually gone out and gotten me what i've needed to start. i've always been so apprehensive that i wouldn't be able to create anything of value. that my toddlers would end up being better than me. that my painting wouldn't live up to my drawings.
so on tuesday we had a painting party. my husbands secretary (who i'm having a secret art affair with) came over with a bunch of paint, brushes and easels and we set to creating *something.* the kids were so excited to join in the fun.
and here is a really bad picture of my *creation.* i am so happy that we did it though (THANKS NICOLE!!!) because now i have a much better idea of what i want and need to get started when i do get around to buying my own supplies. and even after finding that squares are so much harder than they look, i'm not afraid of paint anymore.

Wow! One more thing for me to be jealous of you over. That's a lovely creation. Be proud, woman, be proud!
Hi Jenica!
Please, please go get yourself an inexpensive watercolor paintbox to play with! They are so versitile and can be tucked away whenever little hands come around! Paint a little something for yourself everyday! Have fun! Hugs, Laura
this is gorgeous, sweetie!!!
i love the lines and colours...WOW!!!
i've tagged you for little meme...
i think this one's been my favourite so far ;-)

That's amazing!! What a fun thing to have in your home! If I had an artistic bone in my body you might convince me to try :)
WOW- i really like what you made! Doesn't it feel good to just get it all out of your system? Actually- I think you may have just inspired me to get out my paints and all my brushes and just get on with it LOL
very cool. I've always wanted to paint, too, but my kids paintings DO turn out better than mine.
This is beautiful Jenica! I love it. Way to go on trying out something new. It turned out great.
great painting! get more supplies - keep going.
aren't people who are having affairs supposed to keep them secret? ;)
